The Fireside Reading SeriesMolly Lynn Watt, CuratorTuesday, October 30, 2007 7:30 pmRuth Henderson and Dan SklarRUTH HENDERSON is a specialist in narrative studies. Her forthcoming book: The Mystery of Forgiveness: Reflections and Stories about Forgiving in the Aftermath of Trauma, is based on her research in Germany and Israel with children of Nazis and of Holocaust Survivors. She has led seminars on The Nature of Forgiveness at Boston University, with incarcerated men in Massachusetts prisons, in South Africa and at Endicott College, where she also teaches Images of Women, and creative writing courses in fiction and poetry.
DAN SKLAR is the author of the poetry collection Hack Writer, and teaches Creative Writing at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachsetts, where he inspires his students to love language and to write in a natural and spontaneous way. He serves as faculty editor of the undergraduate literary magazine, The Endicott Review, a published poet, playwright, and kibitzer of the first order. His work has been published in many journals including the Harvard Review, the New York Quarterly, Main Street Rag, Ibbetson Street Press, and Zone 3. The reading will begin with an open mike. Refreshments will be served before and after the reading starting at 7pm. Suggested Donation--$3.
