3BR Unit for Sale
Cambridge Cohousing is a vibrant, diverse community of couples, singles, and families with children of all ages. We own our units (condominium apartments or townhouses) and benefit from access to a wealth of community spaces including a large dining room and kitchen, living room with grand piano, play room, guest rooms, exercise room, library, workshop, recreation room, music room. Residents of Cambridge Cohousing can choose to take part in activities including optional common meals two to three times a week, poetry readings, musical events, Friday nights by the fire, and film screenings. There is an underground parking garage, two Zip Cars (www.zipcars.com), and bicycle storage, and it is a ten-minute walk to Porter Square T and commuter rail stops.
The children growing up in Cambridge Cohousing have become like siblings, or at least cousins, with a dozen grandparents. They enjoy an expansive, safe, and social range of free play without the hassle of arranging and driving to play dates. They enjoy games and sports, including ice-skating in the winter, with other children without having to join organized leagues. Our children are learning to solve problems together and share in common tasks with their peers and adults (like organic gardening). They see their parents working with others to resolve problems through consensus and seeking better ways to live sustainably.
And you also get a 1495 square foot, 3-bedroom, one study, 2-bath unit with a south facing balcony overlooking the lawn and play area in the photo. The unit is on the third floor in a section that has stair chairs. There is a community washer/dryer on the first floor used by residents of four units. There is one deeded underground parking space. Ground source heat pumps for heating/air conditioning, free wireless internet.
The asking price has now been reduced to $665,000.
